History in the Making

I am watching in joy as Federer is inching towards that famous French win which was eluding him for so long... Will update after seeing him raise the cup.

Yeah.. there it is, after losing 3 finals to Nadal. I am a big Federer fan, but I have a feeling that it would have been extremely difficult if Nadal had played again (though Federer bet him in at his own den recently). All thanks to Solderling for ousting Nadal.

Sushi-go-Round

I have always been a fan of quality flash games (apart from being a fan of PC games and that too apart from my regular duty of being fan of Wii games). When I first checked this one out, I was like 'May not be worth it..' and boy was I wrong. The game kept me busy for quite some time, each time someone interrupting me and killing my progress (of course at home). There is no save option unlike other games and hence it took me longer than usual to beat it. It became addictive and fun. You can play it without any annoying ads in my other site (meant to be for games in the long run).

Now there is that Gem Craft to be won... Sigh so many games so little time.

Build your vocabulary

Remember those days when you tried building your vocabulary for those exams. There were some students from my class who would sit with a big thesarus (some even with a dictionary) and go through the list of words arduously. There were another bunch of students who would try to use the words that they learned that day and cause a lot of annoyance to others. The best of the lot were those who were always memorising some lists and if you were by mistake talk to them they give a look which just means 'Get out of here'. But you could forgive them as it was such a horrible fight to clear the GRE/GMAT exams.

Coming to the present, I came across this vocabulary software that looked promising. You could give it a try. It has the usual approach of having the words ingrained inside your brain but also adds up spice by having games and other innovative methods to get the thing done. So all GRE/GMAT aspirants, you now have one more and definitely better method for preparing for those exams. It is claimed that it is the best in what it does for years. But I can vouch that it is definitely the most exciting method that I have seen.

Getting that ideal name for your domain

Often times it becomes a great task to search for domain names that are as yet unregistered and which also matches with your requirement. There is a site http://aptname.com/ to help you exactly with this. As you enter the words that you might want to have in your domain, this site searches for all comibnations of those words and provides you with the details of all the domain names that are available for registration. You also get to choose various options like domain extensions (.com, .net, .org etc), prefix, suffix and if you want 2, 3 word comibnations (with or without hyphenation). I checked this site for my upcoming project on student campus interview help and it turned out a good number of domain names that I could choose from. All in all a very helpful site. highly recommended.

Health Tips - Sites

Following the previous post on the review of good heath related sites, I am adding another site here. This time it is a blog. It is health blog. This site gives quite some details about the heath related issues including the recent swine flu. The blog is also quite diverse in the posts like for example it deals with breast cancer in one post, massage, sun protection and so on. Let me give some sample from the Swine flu prevention post here. The author says that while headache is uncommon with cold it is fairly common with a flu. Not only is there a table for flu symptoms at a glance like the one mentioned above, distinguishing it from common cold but there is a neat mention of preventive steps for the swine flu which if followed will prevent flu as well as keep you healthy.

Coming back to the health tips in general, my father has a system by which he keeps updating all of us through an SMS. He sends a generic SMS and once in a while specific ones that target on a particular health tip. I am yet to list them but should be doing so soon. Meanwhile I will be checking important health sites and if I find useful I will add them here like the health blog that we checked today.

Hope to meet you with the next post soon.

Health Tips - Collection 1

My father has been sending me a lot of health tips through SMS. I thought I will collect them and list them in one place so that it becomes useful to others. Also I am planning to list out websites that might be related to health and is quite useful for people seeking health tips and discussions about health. In this post we will see a health discussion site natural health forum

This site has categorized the discussion under useful heading like 'heart health', dentistry, women's health and so on giving the user the details they are seeking for instantly and also helping in constructive discussion and arguments on the topic. I especially for happy to see so many active users on the forum and a lot of informative posts like the one below which deals with blood medicine. The author has carefully described it in various parts which gives us a good knowledge on the subject. You can find the direct link on the post here blood medicine.

I will try to put the tips and review more sites.

Rehman did India proud by winning double Oscars at the 81st Academy Awards. I was up at 6.30 and even without brushing my teeth was in front of T.V. Shortly my wife joined me and we were glued to it till 10.30 A.M jumping on various occasions first for Resul Pookutty, then for Rehman and also for Pinky. Finally it was a moment of great joy and pride to see the kids and the caste of Slumdog Millionaire for the Best Picture.
