I "discovered" just now that I MOST OF THE TIME do not make eye contact when talking to people.

Kaze: Unreleased

Four months ago, we got the copyright certificate for our first original song "Rain" (ok, I got it just 2 days ago, but it was already available for pick up January). And just last Wednesday, I went back to the National Library to have our other songs copyrighted. This time we have a bunch of songs. We called that bunch "Kaze: Unreleased", since we're not planning to release them yet. We just want them to be "securely ours". Here's the track listing.

Silly me, I did not take pictures of these/while I was there.

Thankfully, the sun was on hiding and so the heat was not that scorching.

After I was finished with the application, I treated myself to a nice cholesterol-packed meal. I went to Jollibee for their 1-pc Chickenjoy. I was very pleased because #1) finally, they were using real plates (not that basket-like.... uhmm... basket!) and #2) that's environment friendly.

Sabi nga ni Chevy, buti pa yung manok pinicture-an ko, yung copyright process hindi. Hehehe.

Crush The Cherry

This was our first ever band practice in a studio. We usually practice at Kei's (HQ) or Chevy's (uhmm... bar -- dito kasi usually nagaganap ang inuman hahaha!). Actually, at first the slot wasn't available for us -- another band had the time slot we like, but they eventually cancelled, and so we got in.

On our way to the studio, we grabbed some fruit shakes and shawarmas (how do you pluralize this?). And after we're done with our food, we started practicing.

Unfortunate events aside (1st: we left Bri's capo at home and had to improvise with a pencil and some hair bands/whatever you call them. 2nd: Faye broke, nah! DESTROYED the plastic bucket in the studio's restroom), it was a very good experience -- at least for me because at last we were able to practice and hear everything as if we're in a gig: complete with voicing. Personally, I'd like to do that more often, but I don't think our budget will allow us to hekhekhek.

QUICK POST!!

Kaze will be playing at the Swiss Deli & Bistro on Friday, May 11th. We'll be playing back-to-back with Mozzie (they have a website, I just don't have the link with me right now). Starts at 8pm with Mozzie so those who'd like to go there, please be there on time :)
