Lunch, OMG!

Lunch, omg. Food! So, basically, I'm easing back into my school life again and on Monday, I was just starting at other people packed lunches. So interesting. I never really had much of a packed lunch. Only time was on field trip, and for that, there was Lunchables. So, I never packed my lunch. But, I really liked the look at the packed lunch. Everyone here, brings them in their brown lunch bags and they are filled with the interesting snacks and everything! It fascinates me. Sooo, I decided to pack my own lunch. I scheduled it this Friday, tomorrow. And I just recently finished it. Yea! I made it based on the food pyramid. :D These are the ingredients to MY kind of packed lunch:
Salad: Iceberg Lettuce, Carrots, Ranch. No Cherry Tomatoes in the house.
    Sandwich: 2 Ham Sandwich, 2 Nutella/Raspberry Jam, 2 Nutella/Peanut Butter
Fruit: Chopped Apple, Oranges, Strawberry, and Grapes
    Jell-O, Green Apple Flavored
Roll of Pastry Thingy (Don't know what its called but its like a Yule Log shape.)
2 Napkins, a fork, knife, spoon
Side: Bowl of Celery and Carrots with Ranch and Peanut Butter Dip
Drink: Honey Aloe. Its this cool drink that has jelly inside. Refreshing.
    Peppermint...afterwards
Exciting, isn't it? I took pictures of my lunch but can't upload them unless I find a USB cable. But just to tell you, I'm not going to eat this all on my own. I promised my friend one of each Nutella sandwich. I can't eat all that in 25 minutes. Well, very excited for it tomorrow. And currently, I'm eating the leftovers of my lunch like all the stuff that wouldn't fit in the tuberware...like the apples. My Fuji apples are very huge. I only put about 20% of the apple into the cup. Well, concluding, I love food.
And my cousin just got a Cyworld account! Yea, Mandy!

Boohoo...

Reflecting back on spring break, I have done nothing. How sucky. Boooohooo... Spending most of my time sick, flu, vomit, fever, vomit, loss of appetite, cough, running nose. Finally after a little sleep on Saturday night, I felt a whole lot better on Sunday, even though I was still coughing. And to think, Walmart, my saviour? Well, it was the only place I got to after I got sick. Think. I have been in bed for like four days. Finally out of the house. I bought jello, candy, and things to make me happy, food. Get better for Easter, thank you, God.
Well, today. Homework, homework, ahhh... I have more than three tests this week, two quizzes and it sucks. So, back to being miserable. Let me just eat my feeling. I will survive...hopefully.

Trip Yesterday

Visited Grandpapa in the hospital yesterday. He looked really weak. Boohoo.. Grandpapa's hearing had gotten a lot worse. Apparently, you have to speak right next to his ear now. I hope he gets better soon. When, I visited him, I also had to wear a mask to prevent me from coughing everywhere. That was an interesting experience. I reminded myself of Cell of Dragon Ball Z. Mommy also had to wear one.
Also, I watched the Rockets vs. Lakers game! Sooo exciting. My eyes were glued to the TV. OMG!! So, the Rockets won 104-92. All the nurses and docters were talking about it too. Go Rockets. There was a point shot every moment. So far, the rockets have made 22 consectative wins. But this game, just topped it all. Only two months ago, the Rockets were only tenth in the Western Conference, now, they are first place! I was really impressed with Alston. Never heard of him, but when I watched him, it was incredible. In total, he scored eight 3-pointers. I also saw them the Rockets do body slam of happiness. you want the whole article go visit here and support the Rockets.
Afterwards, I also hung out at the bookstore for a little bit to grab Sparknotes of "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens. While, I was there, KK went to Circuit City with Popi. KK wanted "Bring it On: All or Nothing," not what i wanted. And Popi chose "Transporter 1." Kathleen also saw House Season 3 but it was $49.99. Expensive. Wait til the price comes down and we'll be getting it for sure.
And once again. Hope Grandpapa gets better soon.

Student vs. Faulty Basketball Challenge

On Friday, it was the Faulty vs. Students Basketball Challenge (Staff vs. Students). One of my committees, DASH, was the designers of this game. In StuCo (Student Council), I'm in two committees. My other committee is EBOS, the Environmental Beautification of our School. Well, basically, DASH, planned this Basketball Game. And it was really fun. We created posters and everything. We designed the halftime, got the teachers and basketball players to play and everything. At the end we had all a plaque ready for the winning team too. The teachers ended up winning, by the way. Big shocker to me. I was so sure that the students were going to win. But, then again. I didn't really think. All the adults that played were really tall and in shape. It was intense. Slam Dunks and everything. My advisory teacher was also playing. And just to tell you, he is 6'9" and the basketball coach. We had a referee and an announcer saying that "_____ scores a point," etc... During halftime, we had Silver Stars perform their dance skit. The Silver Stars are usually the student dance team, almost like a Wranglerette but not as great. But in the game, the Silver Stars also included the female teacher dancers. It was hilarious. The performed the "Evolution of Dance." You can also find it on Youtube. And we also had female teachers and student cheerleaders competing against each other. And as part of the committee that organized it, we had to toss stuff into the crowd during the halftime while the dancers were getting assembled. I tossed plastic mugs, and cups, with my school's logo on it. Also tossed it a beach ball. So they could hit around the audience. It was easy to identify some of my friends because they were just sitting around not yelling for the goods. It was really fun. One side of the bleachers belonged to the students. The other side belonged to us StuCo people who organized this event, the teachers, and the dancers, the basketball players. and the announcers. It was a blast.
After school, I had to walk home with Kathleen, though. When, we got back, we were both sweating bullets. It was sooo hot outside. When, Lingy, my sister from New York, came back, we were still on the couch trying to rest.
Brian had the stomach virus, we think. He kept vomiting.
Did I mention that next year, The StuCo is planning to do Dodgeball instead of Basketball? Too bad I'll be moving to a new school next year.

Pi(e) Day

So, Pi(e) Day was a blast. I finished my math DBA (District Basic Assessment), we checked out homework and then, we went outside and ate pie! There were Peanut Butter, Cherry, Pumpkin, Apple pie. Ooo..delish! So one my classmates, Fab, made the cherry pie himself. It was really good. I had cherry coke to go along with it. Then, Valerie, the only other freshman in our class, made peanut butter pie. Who would have ever known that there was such a thing as Peanut Butter Pie. Well, there is. It was moist or spongy-like and diffentally peanut buttery. It was coated with a chocolate topping. Mmmm. And of course the apple pie, a classic. Pumpkin pie wonderful. I brought cups with each a different solid color. Pink, tropical orange, neon green, or light blue. Most of the guys got pink. They thought it was very manly of them. Lol. Fun Day!

New Experiences

Last Thursday, I went to a classmate's friend's house to do a project we have together. I ended up eating dinner over there. Meatloaf, chips and dip, and salad. Was interesting eating real American food unlike the ones I get in the school cafeteria. So, my first time to eat meatloaf, they explained it had beef, oats, etc. Never new oats were in meatloaf. Taste great. And I eat my salad for the first time with Catalina dressing. That was also interesting. Looked like ketchup. Tasted a bit like it too. And the Mexican tortilla chips and queso and guacamole. You should know what that tastes like. But I'm not sure if I spelled it right. Was cool.
And the day before, he came over to my house and ate our house's Chinese food. Seaweed, veggies, egg salad, rice, and fish soup. I actually surprised that he enjoyed that soup. Very interesting. Got little done with my baby brother, Brian, around.
Btw, last Thursday was also one of my best friend's birthday, Diana. Happy Birthday...though you aren't even going to read this post. XD

Update

So, yesterday was Momma's birthday. Yea! Strange thing is...we did nothing. So, basically, the doctor wouldn't let Grandpapa out of the hospital, so Momma stayed with him. When, she got back in the night, she said, "Hi," then pasted out on the bed. No cake. No singing. No presents... And grandpapa wasn't even discharged today either. Don't know why. Well, Mommy's birthday has officially been moved to the weekend, so we can celebrate with my older sister, Ling, who will be coming back from college in NYC. :D By then, she should have some more energy, I hope. Today, we didn't even bother. We came home and she was still in bed. Still bit sleepy too during dinnertime. Tonight, I might make Razz-ma-tazz or I could go to sleep.
Tomorrow is Pi(e) Day. And that's literally what I mean. Never heard of it at my old school, but yeah. You know 'pi' from math right. Equally 3.14..etc... Well, at my new school, to celebrate the "pi," we're going to have a party eating pie. Its going to be planned that people will be bring peanut butter pies, apples pies, etc. Very excited. I am in charge of bringing cups for the drinks.
Friday is going to be filled with fun stuff to share planned by my committee in StuCo (Student Council). Will share on Friday if I get the chance.

My Valentines' Week

So, this past week was all about the love, you know. So, my new school, Kingwood Park, create some hearty-like events for the school.

Monday) Every girl in the school got a die-cutted heart attached with a ribbon to hang it around their neck. The thing was that the girls couldn't speak to the guys at all or else they would have to give them your heart. The guy's goal was to earn as many hearts as posssible.

Tuesday)The Reverse of Monday. Set up Carnations stuff for Wednesday.

Saturday)Valentine's Day Dance.

So, on Monday, I still had my heart until 5th period. Cause apparently, the guy next to me asking me for mine. But I always shook my head. Then, right after lunch, while I was still in the habit of talking to gal pals, he asked me, "So, how was lunch?" and I replied, "Good." Sucks to be me. But what was funny was that I was so in the habit of not speaking that when one of my gal friends asked me for notebook paper, I nodded my head instead of speaking. Terrible me. After class, though, my other friend gave me her heart. Yea. So in the beginning of 6th period, my left my heart on my desk cause it was bothersome to wear it. That was when this guy tried to take it from my desk, I shouted, "No." But, luckily, his girlfriend, covered for me, and just told him that I "sneezed." So, I kept my heart.

Tuesday, I had the same heart. Didn't recieve any from the guys. But after school, was the StuCo Work Day (Student Council). And basically, I helped wrap carnations cause the week before, StuCo sold carnations for one dollar. And on Wednesday, we distributed them throughout the school if someone sent you one. Afterwards, I got some of the broken short, small carnations.

Wednesday, I bought one for my StuCo teacher. He liked it.

Friday, after school, I helped the class officers set up for the Valentine's Day dance, (I'm not a class officer). I was so hungry afterwards, during break, that I ate four slices of pizza, the most I've ever aten before. You can't blame me, I hadn't ate since noon and then was like around 6 o' clock. Call me fatty if you like.

And other than that, I had lots of quizzes, projects, and test. Sucks to me. Nice long sleep these past weekend nights. Yea!

Solo & Ensemble

I got 1s on both! Big Shocker there! I'm not being sarcastic.

Solo)"Long, Long Ago." My teacher picked it out. I didn't really like it. Popi and me made fun of it lots of times. Was really nervous. I came in, waited for her to finish scribbling down all the comments from the last person, then went to her and said, "Hi, my name is Shining and today, I will be singing..." (BIG Long pause there...) Her:"...a song." (she then flips open the book and saids, "...called Long, Long Ago." And I'm like, "Yes." But I can't believe I forgot. My mind went blank. Sang it ok. I've done better just by myself though.

Ensemble)3 songs. "An de Musik," "Come Ye Sons of Art," and "Ring Out, Wild Bells." The judge made us redo the last song in places where we weren't standing next to someone from our section. Judge freaked me out a bit.

Btw, this taken place on the 9th of February at Atascocita High School. The school was like Washington D.C. style. It was so huge and it has the dome like the D.C. too.
