lessons learned

my first year in college is officially over!!

here are some lessons which i've learned during the past year:

1. Math is one subject which should REALLY BE STUDIED!!!
2. Study groups DO work. When you're all in dire need of high grades, magsisiryoso na kayo!
3. prioritize prioritize prioritize! when you're in M.E., put math above everything!!
4. BE CAREFUL DURING MATH TESTS! the smallest mistake can make the BIGGEST difference!!
5. make use of your teacher's consultation hours. Show them that you exert effort.
6. Recite in class!
7. do not cut class!!! (well except for PE where you should make the most out of your cuts. hehe)
8. In relation to numbers 5, 6, and 7, learn to SUCK UP to your teachers
9. having long breaks are somehow good (like my 4-hr break every tues and thurs). Use those hours to go to the library. that way, you'll be FORCED to study!
10. work hard!!.... but party harder! :-)

wahhhhhhhh i am officially stressed :( I've been doing my 5-page fil paper and 60-page fil paper/scrapbook the whole weekend. and I mean THE WHOLE WEEKEND!!

grrrrr. i am also officially LOADED!!

its nice. I feel like I'm back in High School. haha. and I love being all dressed-up. But this time, I'm the one who fixes myself. whoopee. No more parlor trips :)

Math:
well ofcourse! an entry isn't complete without something about Math. hahahaha! Its really true that once you enter M.E., math becomes YOUR LIFE. The subject can take you from tremendous mourning to extreme bliss. waha. When I attended the M.E. prep course, I could not understand why the upperclassmen said that they really cry over test papers. I mean... they're just... paper. But well... I've learned why the hard way. I'm only in first year but I've already cried (as in really CRIED) over longtests. It's really PAINFUL to devote EVERY TIME AND EFFORT (without exagerating) you have on something, and then just... fail. But I'm fine now :) Thanks to my last longtest (the only Math 21 test which did not make me cry), I'm now back on the run! whoopee! :)

and oh yah, I've just learned that my Math prof, Dr. Quimpo, was the one who wrote the Math 11 textbook and other higher math books. So that's why he keeps on giving us zeros! haha. He wanted every solution to be book-worthy. And also, he was the teacher of two other mean and difficult math professors who teaches M.E. students now. hayyyy. But I'll just focus on the bright side, once I survived this prof, I can already survive almost any other profs. wihi :)

Finallyâ¦ I can update my blog nowâ¦ but sadly, I only have one topic in mind: Math 21

Two longtests and one midterm exam, the times to prove our knowledge and justify our oh-soooo-hardwork by answering 400-points worth of calculus problems are already over and done with. I really really really to the thousandth power gave my best and worked very very very approaching infinity hard for those examsâ¦Butâ¦
